A denial that the New Zealand Licensed VictuallerS' Association had been planning an increase in the price of beer from 7d to 8d a glass was made on Saturday by Mr. Percy Coyle, general secretary of thg National .Council of the Licensed Trade. At no time, he said, had the industry given any consideration to a further increase in the price of beer.
