BOROUGH MATTERS

COUNCIL'S SPECIAL MEETING A special meeting of the Otaki Borough Council was held on Moriday, all eouncillors being present. The sub-divisional plan of the Tasman Beach motor camp sections to be sold was received from Mr. C. W. Foster. This was approved and it was resolved that the seal of the council be affixed to the plan. A plan was also received from Mr. Foster of the land to be dedicated as a public road, and this was approved. It was resolved that all necessary documents in connection with the dedication be executed and sealed. It was decided that the new street joining the north end of Marihe Parade with Moana Street be nam,ed Kowhai Street. It was decided that an order hc placed for four-inch water mains to reticulate the new sub-division, and also to replace the two-inch pipes on the Marine Parade. The condition of street name plates was referred to it and it was received that these be repainted. It was decided to ask the Horowhenua Electric Power Board to move the street light in the Avenue at Rangiuru to the intersection with Kapiti Lane.
