Hon. O. E. Skinner explained tha: there were ex-servicemen who had been killed after they had received their discharge from ihe forces but befor> they had applied for rehabilitatio'i lie-lp. Their death may not have been cau^ed by their service. The clause, which was operative until the end of 1950, would enable lielp to be g'iven to the widows in such cases. The definition of the term "child" for rehabilitation purposes is extende-l by the Bill to include a step-child, an adopted child or an illegitimate child. The personnei of the Rehabilitatioyi Board is increased hy the addition oi! the Commissioner of Works. provisio: is also made for trade training in A class sehools and related finaneial assiStance to be granted to -ex servicemen who^ served with other British forcee. Another clause states that Members of Parliament are not to be disqualified because" of receipt of a subsidv on wages paid to trade trainees.-
