WELLINGTON, Nov. 18. An unusual case was preferred by the Transport Department in the Magistrate's Court today when a motorist was charged with placing stones on Ngahauranga Gorge whereby life or limb was likely to be endangered. A traffic inspector, in evidence, said he saw defendant repairing a pun^ ture and on repassing the spot iioticed two large stones lying or 'he roadway where the car had bee^ standing. He caught up with thr motorist, who said he had forgouen to clear the wheel chocks away in his hurry of departing. The Magistrate, Mr. A. M. Goulding: He took his tools, I presume? Inspector: Yes, sir. Forgetfulness cost the offender a conviction and a ten shilling fine.j
