ROYAL COUPLE SPENT QUIET WEEKEND

Princess Elizabeth spent the last weekend before her wedding quietly with her family at Windsor Oastle. Lieutenant Mountbatten spent the weekend with his uncie and aunt, ihe Earl and Countess Mountbatten. 'ihe young couple will tomorrow receive at BucKingham. Palace their xxoyal guesis from ab.road and have a last minute talk with the best man, the Marquis of Milfordhaven. Their Majesties will hold a privace party at St. James' Palace tomorrow afternopn. The Royal guesis will have a preview of the wedding gifts on Tuesday afternoon. Hrincess E]|izab|eth is reserving the wedding eve for herself. Lieutenant Mountbatten spends his with his grandmother, the Dowager Marchioness of Milfordhaven, a frail old lady of 84, living at Kensington Palace. The largest single windfall of foreign eurrency for the British Treasury since ihe Coronation is expected with the arrival of thousands of worid visitors. The sum of £20,000,000 has been mentioned, compared with £25,uu0,000 spent by the 127,000 visitors to the Coronation.
The 150 guests to the Royal wedding breakfasi will have an austerity meal of three courses off the ration, probably chicken or some other kind of fowl.
