In the eariy morning sunshine, thousands of people watched a fuii dress rehearsal of the wedding procession from Buckingham Halace to Westminster Abbey and backj Seven officers and 120 men of* the Sovereign's Escort, drawn from the Life Guards and Horse Guards, in full cere^ monial dress, with white or red plumes on their gleaming helmets, upraised swords and red or blue cloaks, accompanied
the four open carriages representing the Koyal carriages. Then followed the Captain's Escort, also in full dress. Accompanying the eoac-h representing Princess Elizabeth's coach were the officers iri charge of the troops. Palace officials and Scotland Yard officers checked their timing betore the procession returned to Buckingham Palace.
