DRIVING A NIGHTMARE

'Tt is a nightmare to drive along that portion of the road," said the chairman, Mr. A. J. Gimblett, at Friday's meeting of the Horowhenua County Council. This was after" Cr. A. M. Atkins had suggested that the council should write to the Main Highways Board, recommending that three or four feet on the'side of the main road, from the Levin raiiway station to the corner of Kimberley or Bullcr Roads, should be bitumenised for a cycle track. Several councillors spoke of the dangers represented by th.e cycle traffic along this portion of the road. It was decided to refer the matter to the works committee.
