ANGLICAN LADIES' GUILD
NOVEMBER MEETING The November meeting of the Anglican Ladies' Guild, which was held in the Parish Hall last Wednesday afternoon, was well attended, the president (Mrs. Allerby) presi'ding. Three new members were welcomed. They were Mesdames H. Williams, Trigger and Jones. It was resolved that letters be written to two former members $vho are ill in hospital, Mesdames Lang and Goodwilly, expressing good wishes from the Shannon guild and wishing them a speedy return to health. Final arrangements were made for the annual bazaar, which will be held on Thursday afternoon in the Parish Hall. The various stall-holders were allocated their duties. It was agreed that the . . social, which proved a great success on the evening of the last bazaar, be conducted again this year, the arrangements for this being left in the hands of Mesdames Hyde, Mills and Chester. Mrs. E. L. Hyde, who was the monthly visitor of the sick last month, reported on her activity. Mrs. Leng-Ward was appointed to visit the sick during November. The church attendants for this month are Mesdames Parr and Chester. All members were very pleased to hear that Mr. J. Hallam, who has be.en very ill for some months, is now much improved in health, although it will be some time before
he is able to resume his usual activity in connection with the church. In'the meantime Mr. C. M. Cronquest has taken over Mr. Hallam's duties. Following much discussion, it was resolved that the annual dance he held on New Year's eve, the arrangements for which will be finalised at a later meeting. A dainty afternoon tea brought a very pleasant afternoon to a close.
