The number of confirmed cases ( 30 ) v. a s unelninged yeatnrday. A house kf-housc survev of tlie. lowu by the "Medical Otticer of Health (Dr. .T. 11. Blaeklock ), Jiis assistanl (I)r. D. B. Kennedy) and two Department of Health inspectors, was today completed, but it was not possible to announce anv results. The main purpose of the survev was to timi persous who niight havtv-typhoid fever witlumt knowing it. It was also lioped to fmd any persous who were sick and who had not reported their sickness, The doctors and inspectors are also collecting evidence which tliey tliink will confirm the Department 's opinion about the souree of the infection. Ten patients were brought to the Burwood Hospital from the Kaikoura Hospital yesterday.
