: : LEVIN SOCIETY HAS £217 TO DATE The annual house-to-house collection by the Levin Plunket Society had to date realised £217, advised the treasurer, Mrs. C. Sutton, .at this month's meeting of the committee. Tjbere still remained a large number of houses to visit before the collection would be corppleted. A lette'r was read from the secretary of the Manakau sub-branch, Mrs. R. B. Benneil, stating that she was still a patient in the Palmerston North Hospital. It was decided to forward flowers and a letter of good wish.es to Mrs. Benneil. Accounts amounting to £37 16s 6d were passed for payment. . _ There was a good attendance of members at the meeting, while apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Holdway, Tilley, Greenaway and Chainey. The next meeting will be held on the first Monday in December unless members are notified to the contrary.
