VALEDICTORY FUNCTION

MR. AND MRS. L. A. WHITHAM GUESTS At the monthly function of the P. and T. Social Club, held in the Druids' Hall on Tuesday night, the postmaster, Mr. L. A. Whitham, and Mrs. Whitham were farewelled by members of the club., The women members of the club presented Mrs. Whitham with a bouquet of spring flowers and a decorative tray. Making the prese'ntation, Mrs. W. Leach spoke of the great help Mrs. Whitham had been to the women I members of the club during her period of residence in Levin. Mrs. Whitham, in reply, said that she was sorry that she and her husband had to leave Levin, as they had made many happy friendships ' in the town. She assured members that any help she had given to the club had brought her the gr.eatest pleasure. During the evening items were presented by various members of the club and later dancing took place. Mr. Whitham is leaving shortly to take over the duties of postmaster at Feilding.
