Mr. J. Quinn returned to his home in Levin yesterday after having' been a patient at the Palmerston North Hospital for the past three weeks. He is gradually improving in health. Visiting New Zealand in the course of a world tour, the president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce International, Mr. Taylor Cole, of Texas, will arrive at Auckland on Monday. Mr. Cole will spend 13 days touring the Dominion. Mr. K. J. Holyoake, M.P., for Pahiatua, has returned to his home in Dannevirke, after undergoing an operation at the Dannevirke Hospital. He expects to be confined to his bed for the remainder of this week and will not be sufficiently recovered to giye attention to the business of his constituency for some time. The death occurred this morning in Mastertqp of Mr. John Pascoe Perry, well-known retired farmer and sheep breeder, at the age of 90 years. Born at Penrose, he had resi'ded all his life in the Wairarapa. He had been farming for about 60 years, but retired many years ago. Mr. Perry was. a former Wairarapa representative footballer. Mr. John Murphy, B.Com., , A.I.A.N.Z., has been appointed secretary of the King George V ■ Memorial Health Camp -at -Otaki; fllling the position vacant by the resignation of Mr. C. Meaehen. This was announced by the chairman of the Wellington District Health Camp Committee, Dr. H. E. Gibbs, last night. Mr. Murphy is , senior partner in the firm of John Murphy and Company, public accountants, and is treasurer of the British Empire Cancer Campaign Society.
