ADULT CLASSES IN COOKERY
CAKE ICING DEMONSTRATED Under the auspices of the Wellington Education Board, well | attended classes in cookery for j adults have been held in the Horoi whenua College every Monday evening. As a final lesson Mr. A. C. Ken- j nerley, who is well-known as an expert, was asked to demonstrate the icing of a cake, and this he did most successfully .to a gathering of intensely interested women. It >was fascinating to watch the deliicate lattice work being done, imostly with the cake upside down, and the various designs added so quickly and accurately showed Mr. Kennerly to be a true artist. The , dainty fern leaves and doves were leagerly a'ccepted by the onlookers i as pleasing souvenirs of an interi'esting evening. On behalf of those present, Miss Duncan thanked Mr. Kennerley for his kindness in providing such a splendid lesson as a finish to the evening school classes. '
