LEVIN CLUB'S COMPETITIONS The following is the draw for the Levin Tennis Ciub's hanaicap compentions : — Men's singles: Beyer v. Whitham, P. Nichol v. Norton, B. Thompson v. J. Nichol, Antcliif v. Fox, Roskruge v. Irving, Leach v. Benning, ning and Mcllraith byes. J. Thompson. Men's aoubles: Nichol and Norton v. Sorenson and Whitham, Fox and Irving v. Antcliff and Beyer, Roskruge and Wardell v. S. J. Thompson and B. Thompson, Benning and Mcll'rith byes. Ladies' singles: Miss Kilsby v. Miss Hooker, Miss Hall v. Miss Cameron, Miss Maclean v. Miss Hocking, Miss Norton v. Miss Mulcahy, Miss Hynes v. Miss N. Fletcher, Miss Bell v. Miss A. Fletcher, Miss Karauti and Mrs. Roskruge a bye. Ladies' doubles: Miss Kilsby and Miss Chapman-Cohen v. Misses A. and N. Fletcher, Misses Hall and Norton v. Misses Maclean and Hocking, Misses Karauti, Mulcahy and Miss Cameron, and Mrs. Porter byes. Combined doubles: Roskruge and Mrs. Roskruge v. Mcllraith and Miss Cameron, Irving and ■' Miss Hall v. Norton and Miss Norton, Nichol and Miss Kilsby v. Benning and Mrs. Porter. All other entrants will come in 011 the second round. On Saturday afternoon a start was made with the first round of these games. In the ladies' doubles Miss K. MacLean and Miss E. Hocking, who defeated Misses Norton and Hall, will now meet Misses Cameron and Mulcahy in the second round, and Misses Kilsby and Chapman-Cohen won from Misses A. and N. Fletcher, and will contest their second round game with Miss Karauti and Mrs. Porter. The only mixed doubles match played resulted in a win for Roskruge and Mrs. Roskruge from Mcllraith and Miss Cameron. Several singles matches will be played off during this week, and one was decided on Saturday evening, Norton disposing of Nichol, 9 — 3. Most of the remaining first round doubles matches should be held next weekend. The club captain has score .cards prepared for all matches, and'.anyone who can play their mafches, either singles or doubles, during the week should collect their -fcards from him. The cards are to be retuined as soon as the" mfitch is played so the result sheet '^can be kspt up to date. . ' No singles matches are to be played between 1.30 and 5 p.m. oh Saturdays or Sundays, and players-'- must supply balls for \week-day matches. The ladder challenge sheet is now on the notice :bQard. All members 20 years and; uhdeX, who are interested in forniihg: ari; intermediate ladder, are asked tp contact the captain. .A notice to this effect has been on the -board for three weeks- now, • but so f ar there has not been much support for the idea. v
