A Pakistan Governnient communique proteste.i agaiu.st the " Indian Government 's totally illegal and uneonstitu tumai action" in taking over direct control of _\I anavaclar which i.s a smali suljjec t state of Junagadh. The corn munique alleged that 1000 fully armed Indian troops entered Manadavar State iu t rocks, surrounded the palace, sliot dead oue palace guard and "imposed their management on the State." The eomniunique declared that Manavadai luid fontially acceded to Pakistan hut Reuter declared that tiie Indian Gov erinnent annonnced it had taken over direct control of .Manavadar which ' had acceded to India ' '. Reuter 's Lahore correspondent learned yesterdav that the Alehtar of Cliitral, on the Kashmir bonler, repudiated the nominal suzerainty of the Maharajah of Kashmir and declared his accession to Pakistan.
