YEAR'S FALL NOW EQUALLED The rainfall in Levin for the first ten months of 1947 already passed is^41.58 inches, which is equal to the normal average for twelve months. October was a very wet month according to the records kept by Mr. H. Harvey, of Cambridge Street. Rain fell on 23 days of the month to make a total of 6.55 inches, as compared with 4.52 incnes in October, 1946. Two very cold days were experienced on the 15th and 30th, the temperature falling to freezing point — 32 Jegrees.
