START OF ATHLETIC SEASON
VARIETY "ENTERTAINMENT ON MONDAY NIGHT The Levin Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club will commence its new season at the Levin Park Domain on Monday night with a variety programme. A collection will be taken up, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Mayor's fund to provide food for Britain. Procsedings will commenbe at 7 p.m. with a procession from the Levin Public School, in which the Levin Municipal Band, Horowhenua Pipe Band, Levin Boys' Band and girls' marching teams will participate. Following the arrival of the procession at the domain a programme of sports events, marching displays and band items Will be given, after which an adjournment will be made to a vacant section in Queen Street, adjacent to the offices of the Automobile Association, where there will be a bonfire and fireworks display.
