acknowledging hospitality to n.z. servicemen Following the war both he and the Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, had felt that all those who had shown hospitality to New Zealand servicemen should be individually thanked by way of a personal letter signed by either Mr. Fraser, himself or both of them, said Sir Bernard Freyberg at yesterday's public reisption ih Levin. It had been found, however, that official cases of hospitality alone jtotalled 91,000, said Sir Bernard. ,Double that number had a/ranged I spontaneous hospitality to New I Zealand servicemen so that it was ; found impossible to cope with the .situation. He had heard nothing but good about New Zealand's { representatives in the forces overiseas. The people of Greece and i Crete still cherished -their associa'tion with the Dominon's soldiers, and anyone from New Zealand would find every house open to i them there.
