GREYMOUTH, Oct. 22. A better lead by tiie Govefnment in the scheme for the conservation oi petrol was sought by West Coast motor■ists at a meeting of tlie Automobile As sociation last night. Members "described .Government publicity, particularly by radio, as ' ' hooey-' ' an4 ' ' a lot of ballyhoo ' ?. It was. alleged that the were more Government jvehieles and buses travel- , ling daily on the Greymouth-Hokitika highway than private cars. Luxury bus services, including tours, and trips to race meetings were still continuing, in some ' cases in direct opposition to the railways. The association deeided to bring eomplaints before the Ministers of Traiisport and Bupplv. It was reported that. the vSouth Island Transport Licen.sing Authority (Mr. Raines) had not beeu officiallv notilied of conservation measures, and consequently he was granting new licences Or extensions in the usual manner. v. j ■
