Received "Wednesdav, 7 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 21*. The Egvptian Ministry of Health announeed in Cairo that cholera deaths in Egypt during the past 24 hours reached the record iigure of 5(51 arnl the number of new eases 1022. Police guarding tli-e entrances to the city found the corpses of two children who died of cholera, concealed in a lorrv load of cabbages coining from the proviuces. The relatives were attempting to smuggle the bodies into Cairo for burial because they had failed to notify the provincial authorities of cholera cases. The Public Health Ministrv is eonducting a general inspection of the infected areas of Lower Egypt. Offieials in the infected areas have been given authoritv to act on their own initiative vvitliout awaiti ti g instructions. Oairo Universitv students have been inobilised to help the anti-cholera campaign.
