STEEL FOR BULLS BRIDGE'

WELLINGTON, Oct. 15. "Supplies of steel for the completion of the Bulls bridge, are in sight but are coming slowly, " said the Minister of Works, Hon. K. Semple, in the House of Ilepresentative's tonight when replying to Mr. E. B. K. Gordon who raised the question when Ihe vote on the estimates for the maintenance of public works and services, was discussed. JMr. Semple added tliat it would be from six to eight montlis now before the new bridge wonld be ready for sorvice. Alr. Gordon also asked the Minister to state what progress had been made with the construction of the Lake Alice ' institution. Mr. Semple said that the shortage of ccment and other building materials was causing the delay.
