OPENING SHOOT AT HAUTERE

The Hautere Rifle Club opened the new season with a practice at 300 yards last Saturday, when two seven shots were fired. Taking into consideration that memberp were out of practice and had not fired for four months, and the new Bisley markings for targets, the scores were very creditable. The light was changing early in the day, while the wind was fairly steady. C. Cobb was top with 66. His 34 the first time down was a fine effort. L. E. Monk shot consistently to return 32 and 33, and was second on the day. The following are the individual scores-: — C. Cobb 34 — 32 — 66, L. E. Monk 32—33—65, F. H. Monk 32—32 64, H. A.
