SEQUEL TO OTAKI JEWELLERY THEFT
John Charles Morris, alias John Cuthbert Morris, 49, labourer, and Stanley George Gibb, 46, appeared in the Magistrates' Court, Wanganui, on Thursday. They were remanded till Thursday of next week on the application of Sergeant W. Tumilty. Morris was charged with the theft from a sh6p owned by L. G. Lowry, at Otaki, of a quantity of wristlet watches, fountain pens, cigarette lighters, signet rings, necklets, wrist watch straps an'd gold cross cameo necklets, to' a value of £40. Gibb was charged with receiving from Morris one cigarette lighter and two fountain pens, to a value of £10 ls, v/ell knowing them to have been dishonestly obtained.
