OTAKI BOWLING CLUB
MEETING OF COMMITTEE a A meeting of the committee of ihe Otaki Bowling Club was held on l'iiursday night, Mr. W. Wilson preiding. Let'cers were read from the Wel'ngton Centre relative to the holdng of tournaments during the aclidays, and stating that it was he desire of the centre to do all lossible for country clubs. The centre, in reply to a letter, stated hat it agreed to a tournament being held at Otaki on February 7, as desired by the club. Fixtures lor pennant games were also forIvarded. The Umpires' Association desired •that the club be represented at the monthly meetings, and Mr. Cahill was a.ppcinted to be the delegate >„t the next meeting in Wellington. It was decided to secure addiior.M mats for the green. The ir: t match for the Mexted Cup will e bctween Paraparaumu and Porirua. Ihe green was reported to have had further attention, and it jhould be in good form for the .pening day on October 18, but ifter this would have still further attention. _____
