It lifted one house off its foundations, tore the veraiidah olf another, uprooted trees and blew hundreds of tiles off roofs. Residents saw the storm approaching from the west in the form of "black dust shaped like a rolling pin'k lt made a great noise and appeared to sweep everything in its path into the vortex. Branches were torn off large gumtrees and hurled 200 feet. One wcraan was picked up and thrown against a fence but nobodv was injured.
