READY DEMAND FOR PIGS There was a repr'esentative yardihg. of fat stock penned at the Levin stock sale yesterday, when values for fat wethers and quality hoggets -appreciated' on recent rulings, fat wethers selling to 52s 7d and prime hoggets to 50's ld, A large yardlng of prime heifers- and cows met with ready competition from buteherS', prime P.'A. heifers selii'ng to £8 I2's 6d, while prime P.A. cows made up to^ £18 7s- 6d. Pigs carne forward in lighter numbers and quality sorts at but-. chers' weights met with extra keen competition and sold to^ £5 11s. Store pigs were also keenly competed' for, wfiil'e fat ex-dairy and store cows sold at l'ast week's rates. Good quality cows and heiffer's at drop and el'ose to profit sold to £17. Noi spring lambs or vealers were -penned.
