For tlie 27th week ended Saturday last, of this year's eampaign, deposits to National Savings and saies of bonds . iu the Palmerston North district reaehed the splendid total of £12,054, thereby treb.ling the weekly quota of £3795. The city's quota of £1700 was achieved in no uncertain nianner, £7135 being received at the chief office. Feilding 's £1075 piaeed that town at the liead ot tho list for the district tovvns, but ou a "quota" basis, Bulls with £1042 tooiv the honours. Connnendable ell'orts wero also recordcd by Pahiatua (£078), Pongaroa (£287), Shannon (£251 ) and Tokomaru (£149). With stili six months of the year to go, Tokomaru has obtained the full amount of the annual quota. Last year this townshipV quota was not achieved until the last week when a special drive was lield, and the iuterest displayed and practical support accorded the movement over the last few months is a most pleasing feature of activities in the district. All of the 24 "quota" towns weri' credited with a weekly success, the list being as follows: — Palmerston North, Apiti, Ashhurst, Bulls, Dannevirke, Feilding, Foxton, Glen Oroua, Halcombe, Kimbolton, Levin, Manakau, Ohau, Pahiatua, Pongaroa, Rangiotu, Rangiwahia, Rongotea, Sanson, Shannon, Tokomaru, Weber, Weraroa and Woodville.
