Personal Mr. C. Symonds, of Auckland, •was among the visitors to' Otaki at the weekend. ■ Mr. S. G. Douglas, of Wellington, was another visitor. Rev. William Nicholas, of St. James' Church, Wanganui East, has accepted the invitation to become the minister of Chalmers' Church, Otaki, and will commence his duties on November 1. Rev. Dr. E. N. Merringt'on, of Seatoun, Wellington, conducted the services at Chalmers' Church, Otaki, on Sunday to a very appreciative. congregation. Mr. Merrington will give an address again next Sunday. Change of Business Mr. B. J. Kelleher, who has been proprietor of the Central Hotel, Otaki, has disposed of his interest in this well-kno'wn hostelry to Mr. R. A. Jones, of Tauranga.
