A world-wid'e police radio network, ! inelud'ing the Dominipns, will be establ'ished as part of an internatio.nal drive against criminals, if plans disclosed by Beotl'and Ya,rd are earrfed out. The Internajsional Criminal Police Commission which was revived last year with continental headquarters in Paris, ' can already communicate by radio with the majority of continental' eountries. British headquarters are at Seotland ; Yard and it is proposed that the Doininions should enter an arrangement under which Britain- has established direet radio communication with Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, France, Yugoslavia, Greece, Holland, Italy, Luxemburg, Norway, Portugai and Sweden. Within a few weeks a radio linlc will be established with Washington through Paris headquarters. Bussia has s0 far not shown any i inclination to take part. The Daily Telegraph, commenting on the international plan, says arrangements are being made for a common radio wavelength for the International Police Forces. When eompleted it win be" possible to eireulate a message throughout th'e world in a iiew minutes. A squad of linguists will work in Seotland Yard's information room to translate messages sent from abroad for eirculation to the British police.
