SCOTLAND YARD IS BREAKING CRIME WAVE
Beceived Friday, /.O p.m. LONDON, Oct. 3. Figures issued by vScotland Yard far the first eight months of the year, reveal that despite reports to the contrary, it is eonquering the erime wave. There were 1936 fewer indictable crimes in London during the period than last year and 706 more arrests. The average recovery of stolen vehicies was 96 per cent. Public cooperation by telephoning the Yard led to over 5000 arrests.
