FARMERS AND PAYMENT OF RETROSPECTIVE WAGES
WEI.I.IXUTON, Oct. 3. Tbe question of the pavment oi ret rospective inereases from November 1, 194(3, in dairy farm workers wages, was referred to Mr, W. X. J'erry, Dominion president of Federated Fiirmers. Mr. Perry said thaF the Dairy Produets Marketing Commission decided to refer this matter, together witli the question of rates of wages necessitated by the inerease in the labour reward incorjiorated in the new pfiee, to the Minister of Labour. The Minister had been upprouched and an earlv meeting of interested parties ial hoped for when the matter will be full.y discussed and a decision probablv arrived at. Earmers should note, said Mr. Perry, that until the order has been. gazetted they should not make anv retrospective adjustments in wages to November 1, 1946.
