BANK BILL GOING AHEAD.

The Commonwealth • Govefnment would not defer the introduction of a Bill to nationalise the banks until after the threatened efectio.ns in Victoria, said the 'Prime Minister, Mr. Chifl'ey, in the j.House of- Representatives. "It .would be-presump.tioh;qn -our. part ..to attempt to inff uence legi'slatio n 1 before any State Parliament,"' he !said. "Similarly I would regard |any action by a State Parliament designed to infiuence a decision by this Parliament as politieal presumption. 5 ? Mr. Chiiley added that the nationalisation Bill would be introduced at the end of next week or the beginning of the following . week.
