Section Valued at Nothing Another instance of a prospective purchaser of a section in Greymouth being placed in the position of having to pay nothing for the property occurred at a sitting of the Westland Band Saies Committee. The vendor of the property — a leasehold section in Preston Road, Greymouth — applied for the committee's consent to the sale of the section to p. A. Pearson for £2$. After the committee had applied the formula it uses for leasehold transactions, considering the fr'eehold value and the high rental charged for the seefion, it assessed the value of the section at nil, and the transaction was approved on that basis.
