In Nairobi, whence he came, the sun, he said, shone every day for months, and even in the rainy season, when perhaps 12 inches of rain would fall in four hours, the sun would still shine. Trans- Tasman Travel The Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Parry, states that following the resumption of a regular passenger service between Australia and New Zealand by the Wahine, a further relaxation in this travel has been made possible. As from October 1 priorities will no longer be granted for travel on the trans-Tasman air service, said Mr. Parry, but priority reservations which have already been made will stand. Mr. Parry indicated that intending travellers would .be well advised to make their booking for departure and return as far ahead as possible. Persons intending to leave New Zealand should note that although priorities have been abolished, exit permits are still required in the meantime.
