Pakistan Plea For Help In Communal Problem

Received Monday, 10.30 a.m. NEW DELHI, Sept. 28. India's pro-Congress press is generally critical of the Pakistan appeal to Britam and the Dominions for help m soiving the conrmunal problem. The headlines include5 "Pakistan Shock Tactics Against India" and "Pakistan Trick to Hide Guilt — Source of Mischief "Qbvious." The Hindustan Times said: "Apparently the Pakistan authorities are trying to pose as the injured party, making it appear that they find themselves helpless in dealing with India. The Indian Government would be willing to let any impartial person judge for himself where the source of mischief lies. The cycle of revenge and retaliation will be broken only when Pakistan mends its ways. The situation has obviously got out of the hands of the Moslem League leaders." Behaved Like Wild Animals Mr. Nehru, at a public meeting warned that acts like those committed in the Punjab and Delhi would, if continued, lead to complete disaster. The people, during the past six weeks, had gone completely mad and surpassed all limits of morality and culture and had behaved like wild animals. India, which had held up the torch of liberty, justice and fair play, had degraded herself in the eyes of the world and for some time to come could not hold her head high. India l'ought against South Africa in United Nations Assembly for the injustice done Indians there. Today she could not face her opponents in the sarne way.
