OBITUARY

MR. WILLIAM FIELD ARMITAGE

The death occurred yesterday afternoon of Mr. William Field Armitage, a well-known and high- ' ly respected resident. The deceased, who was 86 years of age, had been in indifferent. health for some time prior to which he had been very active. The late Mr. Armitage had resided in Otaki for a number of years, and was very conversant with various matters of interest to the town, and took tnuch interest in sport, especially in cricket. His wlfe predeceased him some time ago. His death took place at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. L. G. Lowry, for whom much sympathy Is expressed. The funeral takes place on Sunday, after a service at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church.
