ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING There was a good attendapce of members at the fourth annual meeting of the Horowhenua C'ollege Qld Boys' crjcket club, whicji wgs • held at the college , on Tuesday night.' It' was with regret that the club received the "resignation of Mr. C. E. Wiseley, saijd the president, Mr. H.. Lynch. Mr. Wiseley had been a player and eoach last "season, and had given up a great deal of his time in order to coach club members. All would wish him a speedy reeovery from his illness. The secretary, Mr. R. Judd, reported that the club was in g, good financial position and *that the gear* would not require many additions this year. M.enihers extended their congratulations to the Weraroa Club pn winning the 1946-47 competitions. The election of officers resulted as follqws: — Patrpn: Mr. U- Byrne; president: Mr. H. Lynch;" *vicepresidents: Messrs. G. Andrews, A. Haley, H. Judd, J. D. McFarlane, F.' H. Wqde, F. Juno and J. Sciascia; secretary-treasurer: Mr. D. Clapcott; management committee: Messrs. H*. Lynch, D. Clapcott, G. Sciascia and H. Judd; delegates to the Horowhenua Cricket Association: Messrs. H. Lynch and C. E. Wiseley; club captain: G. Sciascia. ; A decision was made- to enter ! teams in both the "senior and the junior competitibhs thish^sbason. The first pra'ctice will be held in the college grounds at 5 p.m. Qn October 1. '•
