LADIES' GUILD ENTERTAINS

METHODIST FUNCTION The elderly members and friends pf the St. John's Methpdist Church were entertained by Guild members at a social afternoon 'held recently in the Bible Class rooms*. Rev. H. S. Kings presided and gave a hearty w.elcome to all present. As each lady entered the room she was presenjbed wifh a beautiful spray, and the gehtlemen were presented with buttonhoies. Later fiowers were sent to those members who were unable to be present. puring the course of the afternoon a number of hymns were sung. Mrs. Irving entertained with two songs and Mrs. Eibye gave a r-ecitation. Mrs. Burnham offieiated at the prgan, gGGbmpanied "by M5S.*Chalk qn the violin. Over afternqop tea old friendships were renewed as all present were" given the opportunity tb move around ,and tal'k. The afternoon Was brought to a close with the •singing of the hymh, "Now Thank We All OurGod."
