MR. ROBERT WILSON

After an illness extending over sofiie months, the death occurred on Tuesday at the residence of his niece; Miss M. Perry, Churchill Street, Levin, of a well-known figure in the dis'trict, Mr. Rofiert Wilson. Born at Strabane, Northern Ireland, -85 years ago, Mr. Wilson came to this district in 1918. Until that time he had worked his own farm in Strabane. Always popular with the farmers and flaxmillers in the district, Mr. Wilson was first employ ed in the old flaxmill at koputaroa, later retiring and firidfiig his chief hobbies in gardening and building haystacks for local farmers." Better known to his many friends as "Uncle Bob," Mr. Wilson is the only sprviving member of a respected and well-known family. One of his sisters, the late Mrs. M. Perry, was an early pioneer pf the district, coming to Levin* qver sixty years ago.
