GISBORNE, Sept. 12. Tlie Waiapu Vallev townsliip of Hua tovia was erowded today with visitors from all paris of ihe North Islahd for tlie dedication of the new war memoria! liall and other events organised by the 1'epohatu niemorial hall committee. In brilliant weather the Governor-Generai and Lady Freyberg traveltecl up the coast by car todav and were given a rousing reception by wayside erowds en route. The Vice-Regal party visited the Tolaga Bav School and were the guosts of Mr. and Mrs. II. G. Burnett for lunch. I11 tlie afternoon, they made an informal inspection of the hui. grounds. I'arliamentarv visitors for tlie hui include the Prnne Minister and Native Minister, Mr. P. Fraser; tlie Minister of Education, Mr. H. G. R. Mason, and Mrs. Mason; J\Ir. E. T. Tirikatene, M.P.; Mr. S. G. Ifolland, leader of the Opposition; Messrs. W. Bullivan and C.„ G. Harker, M.P.s, and Mr. T. Omana, member for the Easteir Maori electorate. Today's hui fixtures include displays of Maori arts and crafls, eonipetitions in haka and action songs, a dinner fv European and Maori ex-servicemen. two outstanding Maori coneerts in the evening and a ball. Tomorrow's major event will he a weleonte by the host tribe of Ngatiporou to the Vice-Rega. party, a public investitute at whieli wartime decorations will be presente i by his Excellency, and a rugby football mateh between the Maori All Blaeks and a eombined side representing the Tairawliiti Maori distriet. 1
