Some farmers tock the matter into their own hands and shot all stray dogs, stated Cr. J. D. Aitchir son. "While the council \Vas entirely in sympa^hy with any organisation which could provide a solution tp * the stray dog m&iance, and would welcome any suggestions, at the present time nothing more could be done. The council is more than anxious to stand behind any movement that would tend towards improvement.
