Of late sheep worrying had become more prevalent, said thq chairman, Mr. A. J. Gimblett. Thqre had heen two. very serious eases of worfying recently. Registration of the dogs would not solyp the problem, was thq opinion of Cr.^A. M. Colquhoun. The people who did not tie Up their dogs were the ohes to blame. Some farmers tock the matter into their own hands and shot all stray dogs, stated Cr. J. D. Aitchir son. "While the council \Vas entirely in sympa^hy with any organisation which could provide a solution tp * the stray dog m&iance, and would welcome any suggestions, at the present time nothing more could be done. The council is more than anxious to stand behind any movement that would tend towards improvement.
