WELLINGTON, Sept. 11. A request to the Government to consider the withdrawal of New Zealand 's t'orce from Japan, is to be made by the New Zealand Labourers7 Eederation. Ihe national council of the federation which concluded a meeting today, ex pressed the opinion that as the shortage of manpower in the Dominion affected production which in turn acted to the detriment of the Aid to Britai)i campaign, the Government should re lease troops from Japan and thus makt more manpower available for inereased production. Tlie council also proposed that to increase the production of foodstuffs in New Zealand, the Government be requested to reintroduce the operation of -State vegetable projects.
