USED BROTHER'S NAME TO GET MARRIED

AUCKLAND, Sept. 9. Because a youth not yet twenty who wanted to get married used his brother 's name, he and the girl he married were charged in the Police Court today with a breach of the Marriage Act. Senior-Detective Aplin said1 'Stuart James Thomas Bountree and Lavena Margaret' Ivnipe desided to get married. She was a minor and obtained her parents' consent. Eountree, who was not twenty years old yet wras apprehensive ab'out getting his parents' consent, foolishly deeided to use his brother's name and gave his age as 25. Counsel for Mrs. Eountree said it was unfortunate she was before the Court. She took both sets of papers to the Registrar's ofliee wliere she discovered she was called uiion to make a declaration. She was not fully aware of what she had done. Eountree was fmed £10 and his wife was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called on within six months.
