WJJLLTNGTON, Sept. 10. Tlie New Zealand delegation to tne General Assembly of United Nations wliicb will meet on September 16 for three months, will be lcd by Sir Carl Berendsen, New Zealand Minister to United States, and his eo-delegates will be Mr. J. Thorn, New Zealand. High Commissioner fok Canada, Mr. J. V. "Wilson, of the Department of External Affairs, Mrs. Isabella Enid Roberts, a former sehool teacher and wife of Mr. Ben Roberts, former Minister of Agriculture and Member for Wairarapa. Announcing this tonight the Prime Minister, Mr. Frasef, said the Assembly had more than 60 items on the agenda and among the important questions to be discussed are Ihe alleged intervention in Greece of her northern neighbours, the future of Palestine and the Indian eomplaint of diserimination against her nationals in South Africa. There are also proposals for a revision of the charter of the organisation to eliminate the veto and a revision of tlie Italian peace treaty. The joint trusteeship agreement for Nauru is to be presented by Anstralia, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. The Secre-tary-Ceneral will report on the permanent headquarters of the organisation which are to be established on tlie Ma.nhattan site donated by Mr. John 1 D. Rocke-feller and which might cost 90,000,000 dollars. The Seeretary-Gen-eral will also present budget estimatea for 1948 totalling 39,000,000 dollars. ftThe resolution of the /many vital '•'iontentious matters set down will be no easy task and will, without doubt,. . call for the widest understanding and statesmanship of all those attending the Assembly," said Mr... Fraser. "I voice the feelings of the Government and people of New Zealand in expressing the earnest hope that the endeavours of all delegations present will serve to secure and stfengthen world peace."
