STRANGE EARTHQUAKE
DUNEDIN, Sept. 8. A sharp earth tremor was felt in Cromwell and other parts of Central Qtago on Monday afternoon. Following a loud rumbling noise there were two short upward jolts, but no actual shake. A Cromwell resident described it as the queerest §arthquake he had ever experienced. "No damage was done.
