An intensive week's economic moves opened today with first the full Cabinet meeting since the wffole force of the crisis burst a month ago, says Reuter's political correspondent. The Cabinet met after Mr. Attlee had conferred with Mr. Herbert Morrison on the week's programme, which ini ludes political,, financial and economic conferences involvmg Britain, the United States, Europe and the Commonwealth.

Sir Stafford Cripps gave Cabinet an outline of his plan, to expand exports by another, 40 per cent. He dealt with the | four main aspects — firstly, howi the production of exportable goods can be increased; second-! ly, the actual quantities that can be achieved in different in-, dustries ; Ihirdly, the capital investment; and fourthly, the extent to which the direction of labour may be necessary. Sir Stafford will give the plan to 2000 representatives of industry at a special meeting on September 12.
