Personal , Mr. G. Drury, who has- been relieving at Mr. J. A. Roach's bakehouse, returned to Dannevirke on Saturday morning. Mrs. Fisher and her grandson, of Nelson, have been spending-a holiday with Mrs. G. ' McEwen, Senr., Ballance Street. Ihe friends of Mr. T. Bell, Ballance Street, will be pleased to hear that he is- up and about. again after his recent illness. Mrs. M. Waterson, 'of Carterton, is spending a few days as the guest of her mother, Mrs. E. Retter, Plimmer Terrace. Mr. and Mrs. L. Retter and Misses E. and L., Retter, who have been staying with Mrs. Retter, have left for their home at Henderson, Auckland. Work on Bowling Green A working bee was busy on Saturday morning applying a layer of top-dressing earth to the local bowling green.' Given favourable conditions the green should be in excellent condition this coming season. Many new members, including several young players, have been accepted by the club and it is expected that it wilh have a big membership this season.
