The unenviable record of West Coast v-olliers at Auckland is being well maintaincd bv the Union Company 's steamer Kiwitea which has been waiting to sail sirice Wednesday for Westport. Aft'er repeated efforts to fill the steamer 's eomplement of, men at Auckland had failed the company brought three crew members from Lyttelton. The replaceinents arrived on Saturday afternoon, but at sailing time four more men were absent and the vessel's departure was again postponed. The eollier Ivartigi which was expected to sail on Saturday for Westport was held in port following an accldent to a crew member that afternoon. No repia cement eould be made and the steamer should now leave tomorrow.
