The South African Minister of Economic Development, Mr. S- FWaterson, who attended the international trade talks in Geneva, said he thought that a full customs unipn for the British Empire was npt- "a practical proposition. He qdded that Australia was imposing tariffs at least as high as those of the United States, and was unlikely to. aboiish them overnight.
