MR. FRASER WILL NOT BE AT JAP PEACE TALKS
ATJCKLAND, Sept. .7. It is unlikely that the Prime Minisr ter himself will be able to represent New Zealand at the Japanese Peac-e i Conference. Nr. Fraser ipdic^ted this when asked in an interview whetber any decision had been made on a Ne^y Zealand representative for the conference. The question would have to, be diseussed, said Mr, Fraser, aT1d. W a.n* nouncement would be made at an early date. J He thought the conference would be held in the United States. If there were the same cooperation as there had been at tlie British Commonwealth Conference at Canberra the peace conference was likely to be successful. A( Canberra the contributions of the Do;minions of India and Pakistan an/L also the Government of Burma were of the greatest value. Mr. Fraser said the representative to the forthcoming Empire Economic Copjference had not yet been decided on, but an announeement would be made early next week.
